Math topics
Built for learning
- Remembers which facts you find tricky and brings them back until they stick.
- Mistakes show a strategy and a picture, then give you another go.
- Every fact in your tables comes up, the tricky ones first, and nothing easy is drilled.
- A fact is mastered when it comes quickly from memory on two different days, and the beat speeds up as you do.
- Shows which facts are mastered, being learned, or need practice.
For teachers and parents
Teachers
Teacher Mode puts big questions on the whiteboard with a timer, a beat that grows as the class gets answers right, and an end-of-session summary. No logins, no class lists.
Parents
Free, with no accounts, ads, chat or tracking. Progress is saved only on your device, and you can see exactly which facts your child has mastered.
Learn a times table
See it as groups, spot the patterns, then play it with a beat.
Frequently asked questions
Is HipHopMath really free?
Yes. All the games are free to play, with no sign-up, no ads and no payments.
Do children need an account?
No. There are no accounts. Progress, settings and saved beats stay only in the browser on your own device, and you can clear them at any time in Settings.
How does the music connect to the math?
The answers are drum pads: tapping the right one plays its sound in time with the beat. Four right answers finish a bar and bring in a new part of the track, which in Beat Builder you choose yourself. The tempo follows how quickly you answer, and new sounds unlock when you master the tricky facts. Counting patterns play back as riffs, and in Flow the size of your answer sets the note.
What happens after a wrong answer?
Nothing is lost: your track keeps playing. You see a way to work the answer out, often with a picture, and get a second try. The question comes back later so it sticks.
Can we play without sound?
Yes. Switch the sound off and every game works the same. The beat and your track are shown on screen and nothing relies on sound alone.
What ages is it for?
It is designed for roughly ages 7 to 13, from first times tables to quicker mental arithmetic, and older players enjoy building tracks too.
